Scale keeps returning
Mineral deposits around fixtures can be a reason to measure hardness. Appearance alone does not identify every substance in the water.

Sample screening is not a comprehensive contaminant test or a certification of drinking-water safety.
Water Softener warning signs
Share the concern, water source and any existing equipment. We can help work through the next step.
Mineral deposits around fixtures can be a reason to measure hardness. Appearance alone does not identify every substance in the water.
Share what you notice with bathing, laundry and cleaning. A hardness result helps determine whether softening fits the concern.
Hardness may contribute, but dishwasher performance and detergent also matter. We do not select equipment from one symptom alone.
Tell us the model, service history and whether salt use or performance has changed. The settings, supply and components need assessment.
Share the main water entry, available space and existing plumbing. Drain access, power and a serviceable location affect the plan.
Softening, filtration and reverse osmosis address different needs. Begin with the concern and the water results, not a one-system-fits-all promise.
Water Softener assessment in Nichols Hills
We ask about the water supply, symptoms and any existing treatment. A hardness measurement helps decide whether a softener is appropriate; household demand and installation access guide sizing and placement. If the concern involves a specific contaminant, it needs the right test and a treatment system with the relevant verified performance claim. Tell us whether the home uses a public supply or a private well and share any recent water results. We do not infer hardness or safety from your mailing address.
What to expect: We explain the findings, proposed work and price. The right recommendation depends on your equipment and home.

Choose equipment for the water concern. Hardness and iron are different treatment needs; your water results and the selected model determine the recommendation.

HERO
HERO combines a carbon stage with a softening bed. It is an option to discuss for hardness and the manufacturer’s specified chlorine-treatment applications.
Amped checks the water, household demand and installation requirements before recommending a configuration. Ask about salt, regeneration, service access and the written model-specific warranty.
No. Match the selected equipment to tested conditions. A softener is not a substitute for disinfection or a complete drinking-water safety test.
For HERO HW100, HW150 and HW200, the manufacturer lists limited lifetime coverage for the brine tank, resin tank, ion-exchange resin and valve body, plus 10 years for other parts except consumables. Manufacturer terms apply.
Ask Amped for the full written warranty for your selected model and any separate installation or labor coverage.

Poseidon
Poseidon uses air injection and filter media for iron-treatment applications, followed by backwashing. It is not a conventional salt-based water softener.
Rust-colored staining is a reason to investigate, not a diagnosis. We review the source, water results and installation before recommending iron filtration.
Possibly, when the water has more than one treatment need. The recommendation and equipment order should follow the water analysis and product requirements.
Ask Amped for the written manufacturer warranty for your selected Poseidon model, including covered components, exclusions and any labor charges. Confirm any separate installation coverage in your proposal.
Manufacturer warranty registration (opens a new tab) ↗
Registration is separate from the written coverage terms.
Equipment requirements vary by model. Your proposal should reflect the actual installation.
Compare the options
Choose a route based on the water results, household needs and the complete scope.
Start with the current equipment and findings before committing to a new system.
A new installation should solve a confirmed hardness concern and fit your plumbing.
Different treatment types serve different purposes. Ask for a clear explanation of the proposed approach.
Upfront pricing. Financing options available.
The price depends on the equipment, capacity, existing plumbing and the work needed for a suitable installation. A new loop, bypass, discharge connection, electrical access or difficult equipment location can change the scope. Include expected salt, water use and maintenance when comparing options. Amped explains the proposal before approved work begins.

Share the symptoms, equipment type and location, or tell us what you want to change. Service is not limited to coupon-eligible homes; discount offers require an owner-occupied home.

Tell us which fixtures should receive treated water and whether drinking-water treatment is a separate priority. The plumbing layout helps define the installation and ongoing care.
Questions before you schedule
Start with a hardness measurement and the problems you want to address. Scale or soap issues can prompt an assessment, but a city name or the appearance of a fixture does not determine the right equipment.
Yes. Bring a bottle of water to 4205 N MacArthur Blvd, Warr Acres, Monday–Friday, 9:00 a.m.–3:30 p.m., for the advertised free hardness, chlorine and iron test. Call with sample questions. This screening does not certify drinking-water safety.
No. A standard softener’s primary purpose is hardness reduction. For a specific germ or chemical concern, use appropriate testing and a system with a verified claim for that substance. Follow any current utility or health-department advisory.
Not necessarily. Some conditioners aim to change scale behavior without removing the hardness minerals. Ask what the proposed equipment actually does and how its performance is verified.
Equipment capacity, plumbing access, a suitable discharge route, power and any new piping or bypass work affect the quote. Replacing an existing unit and creating a new installation can involve different work.
Follow the model’s instructions for salt, cleaning and service. Keep the system accessible and ask how to recognize a change in performance. Settings and service intervals should reflect the water and household use.
No. Reducing hardness does not repair a leaking tank, failed heating component or an installation fault. Tell us about existing heater symptoms so those can be assessed separately.
The offer covers a free, no-risk estimate for proposed water-softener service. We explain the scope and any separately quoted testing or work before you authorize it. Requesting an estimate does not commit you to an installation.
Choose a free, no-risk estimate, a service fee waived with qualifying approved work, $50 off a repair over $500, or $250 off a new Poseidon system installation. All four apply Monday–Friday, 8:00 a.m.–3:30 p.m. Offers are for owner-occupied properties, one coupon per visit, with no combining or stacking. Request the selected coupon by email and show it at service within 30 days of the email date. The $50 repair discount does not apply to replacement or installation; the $250 Poseidon offer does not apply to repair or maintenance.
Describe the concern—hardness, staining or drinking-water taste—and which parts of the home you want treated. Share existing test results and equipment details. Whole-home softening and drinking-water treatment can serve different goals, so the proposed scope should identify the equipment and connections for each.
